腾讯助力深中建设智慧校园

Shenzhen Middle School, Tencent and Shenzhen Comix Group Co. inked a strategic cooperation agreement to co-build a smart campus on February 27.

According to the agreement, Tencent will cooperate with Shenzhen Middle School to carry out research on education big data and the construction of a smart campus program.

In terms of the construction of the smart campus, Tencent will send a team of experts to ensure the stable operation of a smart campus online platform in Shenzhen Middle School and continuously update and improve its functions to realize the practical application of “Internet+education.”

Regarding research on the application of education big data, Tencent will utilize its advantages in Internet technologies, its accumulation of big data and its resources in the open platform industry chain to provide an open interface for the smart campus project.

In the meantime, both sides will explore the collection and analysis of education big data including comprehensive assessments of students and evaluations of teachers.

At the signing ceremony, Zhu Huawei, president of Shenzhen Middle School, said that the school currently faces new development opportunities. Shenzhen is growing as a global innovation city and the renovation of the school is also at a key phase. The Nigang campus is under full construction and the other two campuses will also go through renovation soon. He hopes more technology will be blended into the campus to better serve education.

“Recently, Tencent has been actively exploring education and has made achievements in establishing platforms and providing solutions. The agreement with Shenzhen Middle School is just a start. Tencent will continue to employ emerging technologies including cloud computing, big data, AI and Internet of Things to build a smart campus with the school,” said Qiu Yuepeng, president of Tencent Cloud.

Shenzhen Comix Group Co. will also use their smart education solutions to create a connected environment, which will enable students sitting in different classrooms to be taught the same class simultaneously. (Chen Xiaochun)
