









In June 2016, Shenzhen Traffic Police formed the first women’s motorcycle patrol unit of any Chinese city. Everyday these young women patrol the roads of Shenzhen, riding on motorcycles weighing more than 250 kg and carrying around gadgets as heavy as 10 kg. Despite the scorching sun and downpours, the fewer-than-20 female bikers each cover a distance of 80 km a day to deal with road emergencies and help those in need. (SD News) |
