FUTIAN District has reorganized 31 Party and governmental bodies, including 10 Party committee organizations and 21 governmental departments, after a new round of institutional reform in the district. The 10 Party committee organizations consist of one discipline inspection and supervision organ and nine working organs, according to the restructuring scheme. The 21 governmental departments include the development and reform bureau, the education bureau, the science and technology innovation bureau, the industry and information technology bureau, the civil affairs bureau, the judicial bureau, the finance bureau, the human resources bureau, and the housing and construction bureau. Based on the overall goal of building a socialist modern urban area with high-quality development and creating a more competitive regional financial center, Futian has specifically set up a monetary bureau to further enhance the influence of the district as a financial center. According to Lyu Yuyin, Party chief of Futian District, the institutional reform not only emphasizes optimized, collaborative and efficient Party and governmental institutions, but also focuses on serving the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and meeting the district’s needs for high-quality development.
