THE law enforcement team of Yuanling Subdistrict launched a 100-day campaign called “Communities Patrolling” on Feb. 26, during which the enforcement team is cooperating with the Yuandong Community work station, cleaning companies, plantation disinfection companies, garbage clearance companies and property management offices to carry out an inspection tour of different venues. The venues have included Yuanling New Village, Bajiaolou Day Care Center, Yuandong Multi-story parking lot, Yuanling Street 3 waste transfer station, Yuanling Street 3 Food Street, Hongling Middle School and Shanghai Fashion. The inspections cover workplace safety, environmental sanitation, city appearance and order, and urban planning. The inspection team has found a total of 61 problems including illegal business operations in public areas, illegal construction and illegal sales. Ten places have been ordered to make immediate rectifications, three illegally sold live chickens have been temporarily seized according to the law and one notification to cease and rectify an illegal act has been issued. When the inspection team arrived at Yuanling Street 3 Food Street, the law enforcement officers checked the hygiene of the kitchens, the condition of the floor drain and the handling of kitchen rubbish. The 100-day patrolling campaign is problem-oriented. It combines management with enforcement to discover problems and solve them, in order to improve the community environment. (Chen Xiaochun) |
