Fubao plans cultural events for whole year
    2019-03-08  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

APPRECIATING festive lanterns, guessing lantern riddles, eating tangyuan (rice dumplings) and watching performances... For the Lantern Festival, Fubao Subdistrict organized a neighborhood cultural event in Zhonggang City, where community residents could enjoy a cultural feast right at their doorstep.

The cultural event started at 9 a.m. Feb. 16 and rolled out a total of 12 programs. A sketch, titled “Ads Don’t Go Rampant,” a piano solo “Water Fun,” a calligraphy performance and other programs entertained the audience with outstanding dancing, beautiful singing and an overall excellent performance, winning rounds and rounds of applause.

Apart from the show, the residents also got to taste free dumplings and guess lantern riddles, which helped improve the relationships among neighbors in the community.

Different departments in the subdistrict also set up booths to promote fire safety and a civilized city, calling for residents to create a quality environment.

“We organize neighborhood cultural events based on the festivals in the year in order to increase the sense of happiness and security among the residents,” said Zhong Yiying, an official in Fubao Subdistrict.(Chen Xiaochun)
