THE Futian Tax Bureau held an annual work meeting Jan. 31, which summarized the taxation work of 2018 and deployed the taxation task for this year.

The bureau accumulatively reduced 31.699 billion yuan (US$4.74 billion) in tax for taxpayers in 2018. Of the total, 4.427 billion yuan in tax were reduced to encourage high tech growth, 5.227 billion yuan reduced to improve livelihood, 16.885 billion yuan to support financial market, and 582 million yuan was reduced to facilitate the development of small and micro enterprises.

The Futian Tax Bureau has created a management model based on its six subdistricts, making it more convenient for taxpayers to process tax-relevant affairs. To meet large service demand, the bureau set up three tax service halls to cover the whole district.

In 2019, the Central Government has decided to further implement tax reduction measures, and recently, the State Council has released a series of tax reduction policies for small and micro enterprises.

In optimizing the business environment, the Futian Tax Bureau will further strengthen tax guidance, put into practice a leadership-of-duty system, solve tax service problems, further simplify taxation processes, explore shifting forward the examination and approval of invoices, and facilitate the construction of the standard window.
