When I was about 4 years old, I lived in the countryside with my grandparents and a little yellow dog. One day, my grandparents took me and the dog to a market. The market was crowded with people and it was difficult to look after me there, so they left me outside, holding the rope of the dog. They had hardly walked away when the dog began to wander around. Suddenly, he began to trot and led me away from the market. I was surprised and decided to follow him, wondering what he wanted to do. It was a lovely spring afternoon. Leaves were budding on the trees and wild flowers blooming in the field. At first, I was pleased to see the beautiful scenery of the countryside, but some time later, I became a little anxious. I felt that the dog didn’t plan to stop and was determined to go farther. I tried pulling him back. Unfortunately, I failed. I was afraid to get him angry so I just followed him. About half an hour later, my grandparents finally finished their shopping and noticed that I had disappeared. Gratefully, they asked several passers-by and found out that “there was a girl going with a dog in this way.” |
