Zhang Yu JeniZhang13@163.com Featuring a variety of interactive family activities, an innovative science and technology education event kicked off at the Consumer Electronics Exchange/Exhibition Center (CEEC) in Futian District on Saturday. Themed “CEEC Family,” the event focuses on innovative science and technology education, providing not only interactive activities for families but also innovative education exhibits to disseminate interesting scientific knowledge. Families also get to experience the charm of advanced technologies, as more than 10 technology companies have designed workshops for the event. Engineers with VIVO will lead children to explore the internal structure and mechanical principles behind a mobile phone. DJI will be hosting a programming course and a flight simulation game. And HTC Vive has prepared a virtual deep-sea whale-hunting adventure for children. Meanwhile, families can have fun doing interactive activities such as starting up fighter jets in a simulated environment, doing puzzles with the avatars designed by Gowild, teaching robots to bowl, painting digital pictures, and learning to bake in space in a course provided by Bosch. The event also incorporates different elements to enhance the gaming experience. Children and parents will receive props and game manuals and will get to collect cards to complete designated tasks. In addition to a magnificent display of modern technologies provided by tech companies, the “CEEC Family” event will introduce the “MY” Open-space Innovative Exhibition for Kids and Family. Sponsored by the Shenzhen Women and Children’s Development Foundation, the exhibition provides interactive activities and nearly 20 thematic workshops that cover areas such as nature, arts, drama, and science and technology. The exhibition will run through April 21, with family activities launched regularly. Visitors can attend the activities for free or make an online reservation for a spot in the workshop of their choice. |
