The director (R) of the general work office of the No.1 Middle School of Hohhot City has lunch with students yesterday, the first day of the implementation of the new regulation which requires school officials from kindergartens to secondary schools in China to dine with their students at school canteens. The mechanism is aimed at spotting problems and hazards regarding school food safety and addressing them in a timely manner. Schools are also required to release food sources, suppliers and other information, and set up risk prevention and control systems.  China News Service
