A scary encounter with a gangster
    2019-04-10  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Shen Nieqian, Class 1, Senior 2, Shenzhen Foreign Languages School

When I graduated from primary school, I paid a visit to the U.S. and spent my summer holiday with my aunt who lives in Chicago. When she was free, she would take me out for a ride in her old Ford.

Honestly, I enjoyed a little spin like this.

On a nice sunny day, she drove me to a suburban outlet to buy some stuff. While my aunt was shopping, I was just hanging around aimlessly.

Suddenly, a tall, strong, monster-like guy came into my sight. He was standing a short distance away staring at the display of a jewelry shop. He was nearly 6’8” feet tall and there were huge muscles in his chest and arms, showing to every passer-by that he was the top dog. Indeed, he looked like those “gym guys” who had taken anabolic steroids even when he was a baby.

Anyway, I found a skull tattoo on his arm and a horrible scar on his face which proved he was a member of a local gang and a guy who was ready to punch you in the face.

I quickly passed by him and I bet he definitely noticed me. His glance with no emotion cast a chill down my spine. The following day, I heard about the burglary that happened at the outlet I had visited.

I turned on the TV, only to find the guy grinning at me on the screen.
