LEADERS of Futian District have organized themselves to plant trees at the Jingmi Community Park on this year’s Arbor Day, adding a touch of green to the district’s environment, sznews.com reported. The district has been committed to making the city more livable and greener, making every effort in its power to build Shenzhen into a world-renowned flower city. In 2018, the district’s urban management bureau turned the Jingtianbei area into the city’s first community park cluster, winning acclaim from all walks of life. The district built eight high-quality parks last year, including Huaxin Park and Hanling Park. Residents in the district were also able to participate in the design, construction and management of these parks. So far, the total number of parks in Futian has reached 123. The vertical greening projects on four pedestrian overpasses and two campuses have also been completed up to high standards, adding 80,000 square meters of vertical greening in the district.
