    2019-04-12  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

FUTIAN District’s governmental departments attended a meet-and-greet to answer questions from deputies to the Municipal People’s Congress (MPC) on the afternoon of March 22.

Leaders from six departments, namely the district’s development and reform bureau, education bureau, science and technology innovation bureau, civil affairs bureau, finance bureau, urban management bureau and comprehensive law enforcement bureau, reported to the MPC deputies on the main functions of their departments following reform and their key work for this year.

The district’s development and reform bureau will push forward the construction of the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Sci-Tech Innovation Cooperation Zone this year, according to the bureau. It will also build a high-standard national science center and expedite the introduction of a national innovation platform.

The science and technology innovation bureau will focus on promoting the construction of a distributed intelligent science innovation area, and building Huaqiangbei into a super incubator and a first-class intellectual property ecological area.

The district’s education bureau will accelerate the construction of new schools and the expansion of existing schools. It will add 4,170 seats in primary and secondary schools and 600 seats in kindergartens.

The civil affairs bureau will strive to complete more than 1,300 projects throughout the year, while promoting the development of community governance.

The urban management bureau plans to build a new landscape boulevard, 10 flower-dotted blocks and 20 characteristic parks in 2019.

This year, the finance bureau will make use of the government’s special funds to promote the development and construction of the Xiangmihu and Meicai areas, as well as other key areas.

The heads of the governmental departments also answered questions that were closely related to the people’s livelihood and support for private enterprises.(Zhang Yu)
