ANGELINA JOLIE has dropped her ex-husband’s last name following her divorce from Brad Pitt, reported People on Tuesday.

The marriage between Pitt, 55, and Jolie, 43, was officially terminated April 12.

The actress had added Pitt to her legal name following the couple’s marriage in August 2014.

Court documents obtained by ET show that, as part of the dissolution of the stars’ union, the 43-year-old actress’ name was officially restored to simply Angelina Jolie.

The move to change her name comes as Jolie is readying a return to the big screen this fall, reported People. The Oscar winner is set to reprise her title role in Disney’s “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil,” alongside Elle Fanning and Michelle Pfeiffer. Filming for the sequel took place in London and wrapped last year. Jolie is also continuing her advocacy work at the United Nations. (SD-Agencies)
