KAISA Golden Bay Resort, located on the northwestern coast of Dapeng Peninsula in southeastern Shenzhen, is scheduled to open to the public in the summer of 2020, according to the launch event for the project held at The Ritz-Carlton, Shenzhen, on Friday during the 15th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF).

“The timing of the announcement is very fortuitous. After learning of China’s outline development plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, we have the privilege of introducing a product targeted to support this wonderful economic initiative and to entertain some of the most deserving people in the world who live in this region,” said Noble Coker, president of Kaisa International Resorts Group.

Jointly developed by Kaisa Group and Funde Sino Life, the resort, about 45 km from downtown Shenzhen, enjoys convenient access. With a total developed area of about 1.5 million square meters, it includes five innovative themed pavilions: an Arctic Experience, a Water Park, a Space Simulation, a Children’s Pavilion and an Aquarium.

Additionally, it features five areas providing immersive experiences: a beach park, a theater, a lifestyle commercial street, a central park and a sports center. It is also home to five international luxury resort hotels, including Marriott, the W and the Hyatt, as well as global luxury villas.

The resort plans to provide abundant culture and art-oriented activities, and in addition to a spectacular international audio-visual feast — the originally developed Lagoon Show — it will introduce well-known large-scale foreign and domestic performances, musical dramas and art exhibitions in the future.

To provide a complete entertainment experience for tourists, Kaisa Golden Bay Resort has created an original story — The Legend of Kun — with characteristics of traditional Chinese culture that integrates the concepts of entertainment, attractions and services into a single event.

At the event, the Dapeng New Area Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau signed a framework agreement with Kaisa International Resorts Group on the strategic cooperation of brand promotion. The group also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China Unicom to jointly create a 5G smart coastal living circle with culture and entertainment.
