A NEW hiking trail upgraded from the present Dongtoukeng trail in Xichong, Dapeng New Area, will link a greenway, Shenzhen High School Affiliated with Renmin University and Dapeng Peninsula Coastal Road, according to the new area’s public works bureau.

The upgraded trail stretches 9.32 kilometers, which is 3 kilometers longer than the original plan.

Along the route, the bureau is planning to build three rest areas for hikers in addition to the existing five sightseeing locations.
