Dear future me,

How time flies! You’re almost 26 now, aren’t you? You may be independent and mature now. Anyway, I have some expectations of you. Hope they will inspire you.

I hope you still remember me, the younger version of yourself. I know now I have lots of shortcomings and childish compulsions. But remember to look back on who I am, full of curiosity and interest. Promise me not to become a boring adult!

I hope you’ve led a life you love, which you can’t wait to get up to start in the morning. If not, don’t be afraid of changing. Just follow your heart, and it will lead you to where you’re meant to be.

I also hope you’ve got the most epic dog, sweet friends and a soulmate. Don’t be worried if they haven’t appeared. They’re worth a lifetime to look for.

Right now, I’m only 16. Everything is possible. So I’m striving. I certainly understand there are plenty of difficulties to face in the future, but please stay positive and hardworking. Let’s work together for a better self!
