THE activity center for the members of the Xinqiao Chamber of Commerce was recently opened, marking the first anniversary of the founding of the chamber.

The new center has two meeting rooms of different sizes, an exhibition hall and a cafeteria to serve chamber members.

The chamber has grown into a platform where members can share resources and cooperate on innovation to achieve greater growth. The number of member enterprises has increased from 85 last year to over 240.

Since its founding, the chamber has organized 15 charity activities, raising over 2 million yuan (US$289,200), and held 25 exchanges between the government and enterprises, as well as 10 cultural activities and 12 lectures.

These moves have received recognition from the authorities and its members.

Zeng Jiankun, director with the chamber, said the new center will provide members with various cultural activities and will take this opportunity to further their role as a bridge between the government and member enterprises, and to offer better services. (Wang Jingli)
