躺列
    2019-06-18  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Meaning:

“躺” means “to lie down,” and “列” means “list.” Coined by Chinese netizens, this term refers to the scenario where two people have befriended each other on social media (so that their monikers appear in each other’s friends list) but they don’t actually interact often (perhaps they don’t interact at all after their first meeting and befriending each other). This term is most often used by QQ users.

Example:

A: 上次聚会你遇到的那个漂亮小姐姐后来怎么样

啦?

Shàngcì jùhuì nǐ yùdào de nàge piàoliang xiǎojiějie hòulái zěnmeyàng la?

What’s up with you and that pretty girl you met at the friends’ gathering last time?

B: 我们加了QQ好友,打了招呼,然后就躺列了。

Wǒmen jiā le QQ hǎoyǒu,dǎ le zhāohū,ránhòu jiù tǎngliè le。

We befriended each other on QQ, said “hello” and never spoke again.

A: 你是男生,喜欢她就主动一点啊。

Nǐ shì nánshēng,xǐhuan tā jiù zhǔdòng yīdiǎn a。

Go after her if you like her, boy.
