Students’ works to be adapted for real-life market

小智能工程师现场PK, 企业预备将学生作品市场化

Hosted by the Futian Education Bureau and Futian Science and Technology Association, the 20th Adolescences Science and Technology Festival and the second Intelligent Engineering Technology Innovation Competition finals were held recently at Liyuan Primary School in Futian District.

After the vigorous preliminary competition held at Jingtian Primary School consisting of 60 teams and more than 250 people, 16 teams progressed to the final competitions. In the finals, every team used their knowledge to turn easily accessed materials into striking intelligent inventions.

The finals were separated into two phases: production and testing. The finals were made to evaluate a team’s creativity, logic, product completion, product design, and teamwork — five aspects collectively.

In the production phase, teams were allotted 150 minutes to use materials and programming software to create innovative products. In the testing phase, Liyuan Primary School’s “kitchen-use inductive tap,” Mingde Experimental School’s “intelligent roof drying room,” Shangbu Primary School’s “intelligent mouse” and Fuhua Primary School’s “indoor lighting checking system” gained recognition from professional judges.

After rounds of strict competition in the finals, intelligent products from three teams representing Liyuan Primary School and Donghai Experimental School won the highest honors at the competition.

Wu Yiqi, a Donghai Experimental School student, received special praise from the committee for her work on the “intelligent water bottle.” One of the corporations present at the competition noticed this product and was going to adapt it into a real-life product for the current market.

Works by the Liyuan Primary School teams — the “kitchen-use inductive tap” and the “intelligent pillow” — were going to be adapted, too. (Liu Jieyu) Students turn accessed materials into striking intelligent inventions. SD-Agencies
