深圳通过科普条例 中小学逐步实行科普教育学分制 Shenzhen will create a credit system for popular science education in primary and secondary schools, which were passed by the city’s legislature June 26 and will take effect on January 1, 2020, according to the city’s science and technology promotion regulations. In recent years, the Shenzhen Education Bureau and the Shenzhen Association for Science and Technology jointly developed popular science research projects in the city’s primary and secondary schools, which will serve as the basis for creating a credit system for popular science education. The regulations also stipulate that graduate students can acquire credits by engaging in popular science education work. According to the regulations, popular science facilities that do not qualify as science bases but have distinctive popular science resources can apply to become recognized as popular science demonstration sites. The regulations also specify that companies can have their income taxes deducted if they make donations to popular science bases or demonstration sites. Meanwhile, the regulations state that the Shenzhen Association for Science and Technology should establish a popular science talent pool that includes individuals who volunteer to engage in the city’s popular science education work. The regulations also stipulate that the third week of every September be recognized as Shenzhen Popular Science Week, during which a series of public science activities or professional science exchanges will be organized.
