CATHAY Pacific has launched an “air+ferry” package tailored for passengers from some cities in Guangdong Province, which includes connecting ferries between major ferry ports in the Greater Bay Area and Hong Kong International Airport, as well as flight tickets to Cathay Pacific’s global network of destinations. The package connects passengers from seven ferry ports with major destinations in Asia, Australia and New Zealand, North America, and Europe at preferable prices. The seven ferry ports include Shekou Port and Fuyong Ferry Terminal in Shenzhen, Humen Ferry Terminal, Guangzhou’s Lianhuashan and Nansha ports, Zhuhai Jiuzhou Port, and Zhongshan Ferry Terminal. The direct air pass package has also covered the HK$120 (US$15.34) departure tax, hence saving the tedious tax refund process. Many airlines offer check-in services, including baggage check-in, at Shenzhen Shekou Port, and in 30 minutes, passengers from Shekou can arrive at Hong Kong International Airport. Tickets for the ferry from Shekou Port to Hong Kong International Airport can be purchased at the port or via the port’s official WeChat account, and return tickets can be purchased at the arrivals hall at Hong Kong International Airport. It is required that passengers arriving by ferry should arrive at the airport at least 110 minutes before their flight departure time. Passengers should purchase their return tickets at least 60 minutes before their scheduled departure time. (Maggie Tang) |
