Zika virus is a kind of virus which started to spread in Oceania from 2014 to 2015. It was first discovered in Zika Truck Jungle in Uganda. People in Central Africa, Southeast Asia, and India were mostly affected. In 2015, the virus spread really quickly in Central and South America. In Brazil, they even discovered more than 4,100 cases of neonatal microcephaly. They doubted that it is related to the Zika Virus, because one of the results of carrying the Zika virus is that a mother with the virus will give birth to a kid who will also carry the virus.

The symptoms of this virus are mainly reflected in the bones, in the brain, and on the skin. You may have a fever and a headache. You might have a rash and also muscular pain.

The symptoms of this virus might be very small, so you might feel like you are only having a small cold or something. It will last for several days to a week. That will hardly lead to death but it will make you feel really uncomfortable.

Most of the research indicates that Zika is a curable disease. No one has died because of this virus, which is provided by the fact that you just have some pains. But if you are affected in the nervous system, that will be kind of serious, especially for mothers who are pregnant. Their children will then also too young to have good immune systems.

There’s still no vaccine for this disease. Some vaccines are still in clinical trial. But there are several ways to relieve symptoms, like rest and medication. You can take medicines like acetaminophen to treat them.

With the growth of technology, more and more viruses might be killed.

Also, there will be more and more methods to help you recover. If you get diseases, you should have a good attitude about it and actively cooperate with the doctor. You really will be fine sooner or later.
