Affordable housing

VANKE Group’s housing project in Longhua District called Guanchengyuan is expected to provide 35,000 affordable apartments in 2020.

At present, two buildings under the project have been capped. The remaining buildings are expected to be capped in September.

Speed camera

SPEED cameras have been put into use to catch slow cars on Yanjiang Highway, between Xixiang and Fuyong roads. It is said that drivers running below 60 km/h will be fined 500 yuan (US$72.7) and receive three penalty points.

Centenary village

KUICHONG Subdistrict in Dapeng New Area is trying to turn its centenary village, Shayuchong, into an AAA tourism spot by further tapping its revolutionary resources.

The subdistrict is home to provincial culture relics like the Command Headquarters of the Dongjiang Guerrillas and the monument for the northern withdrawal of Dongjiang Guerrillas. The subdistrict is planning to link seven tourism spots in the area through a revolutionary route and its marine and ecological resources.
