Yunhai Primary School wins national junior softball championship again
    2019-07-31  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

The softball team of Yunhai Primary School from Yantian District achieved high awards and swept the board at the National Junior Softball Champion in Ordos, Inner Mongolia on July 22. The school won the Glove Base Group Championship for first and second grades for the second year in a row.

Hosted by the Handball, Baseball and Softball Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China and the Chinese Softball Association, the match attracted 2,663 athletes and coaches from 21 provinces, cities and autonomous regions and 60 experimental bases in 150 teams from all over the country.

According to reports, the Yunhai Primary School softball team participated in the Glove Experimental Base Group match for primary school students in grades one and two. The Yunhai team, which entered the national competition finals, is newly organized.

Over the course of a year of hard training, the young players looked back on their performance last year for motivation and to hold themselves to a higher standard. During practices, with perspiration coming down like raindrops, every child went all out and focused on simulated competition training wholeheartedly. Under the direction of He Yangshui, a teacher who also won the title of national coach, the young players honed solid ball-handling skills and sharpened their will. (Chen Cujie)
