Creating a harmonious and safe campus
    2019-07-31  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Liu Shuxuan, Class 13, Senior 1, Shenzhen Xin’an Middle School Instructed by Zhan Tingting, Tang Ying

In order to create a harmonious and safe campus and ensure the safety of teachers’ and students’ lives and property, our junior high school carried out a series of measures against crimes.

A special parents’ meeting was held to raise awareness of traffic safety for teachers, students and parents, guarantee students’ travel safety, and prevent road traffic accidents.

At the same time, a mock trial was held for Junior 2 students. The trial was themed “campus bullying,” and it vividly showed the court’s trial process, so students could understand and learn about legal procedures. A class meeting themed “preventing school bullying” was also held to educate students about the dangers of school bullying and how to protect their physical and mental health. Teachers presented students with situations of school bullying and encouraged them to think about how to avoid and deal with it.

A drama contest was also held on the theme of “harmonious campus” for Junior 1 students. All the classes actively prepared for it with creativity and teamwork. They showed their various talents, such as dancing and playing basketball, which brought cheers, laughter and applause on the spot and demonstrated the students’ talents and youthful vitality of our school. This contest enhanced the campus culture and enabled students to learn how to safeguard their rights and act in accordance with the law when facing problems.

The school also made full use of the school newspapers, magazines, and other media to carry out a wide range of activities, mobilizing teachers, students and parents to participate in the anti-crime action and encouraging them to report criminal activities and the suspects involved in school crimes.
