Binhai Blvd. section to go underground
    2019-08-07  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A RENOVATION project turning a section of Binhai Boulevard near Shenzhen Super Headquarters Base into an underground passage has been publicized at www.pnr.sz.gov.cn, the official website of the Shenzhen Municipal Planning and Natural Resources Bureau, to seek suggestions.

The renovation project runs 5.95 kilometers along Binhai Boulevard, passing Shenzhen Bay Park, Mangrove Reserve, Shenzhen Bay Super Headquarters Base and OCT Harbor.

It includes a 1,057-meter-long underground tunnel, a 503-meter section linking above-ground and underground roads, and two south-north underground tunnels measuring 1,270 meters and 1,137 meters, respectively. A total of 4.39 kilometers along Binhai Boulevard will be renovated, occupying 98,273 square meters within the city’s ecological control line, according to the notice.

The public can give suggestions and opinions for the project before the Sept. 4 deadline.
