Funful Bilingual School P6F Jenny Peng Chingching This year is our last year at our primary school. In September, our classmates might separate and join different schools. In order to keep our friendships forever, and to make unforgettable memories, we held a graduation party in Dapeng in early July. Our parents and our brothers and sisters all joined us. The first night was the farewell dinner, and the next day was for outdoor games. There are 35 students in our class, but at the farewell dinner, we occupied nine tables, which means there were about 90 people there. Before the dinner started, the big screen played a video. It showed the pictures we took for graduation. The pictures took us back to our classroom, our playground, and the unique outlook of our school. We also saw our lovely teachers and classmates. We are studying, we are playing and we are smiling. We sat with our classmates, and our parents and brothers and sisters sat at different tables. As the dinner went on, the screen started to show pictures of young kids or even babies one by one. We all started to guess who the person in the picture was. As the answer came out, he or she went up to the stage together with his or her parents to say something. These moments were filled with joy, happiness, laughter and little sadness. It was very noisy, not only because of our laughter and screams, but also because of our parents’ talking and drinking. Our parents were very excited that night; you might not have believed most of them just met each other for the first time. This party was also an opportunity for them to share their experiences and joys. Bottles of wine had been poured into glasses; parents walked from table to table, and toasted with each other. It seemed that the parents were much happier than us. This is a date we will not forget for the rest of our lives. |
