A POPULAR meteorological science program, Weather Talk Show, jointly organized by Shenzhen Media Group and Shenzhen Meteorological Observatory, was officially launched at a ceremony Tuesday.

The three-minute program, to be aired every day after Shenzhen News Noon 30 Minutes, elaborates on astronomical, meteorological and geographical phenomena in the different seasons through media presentations.

It explains the science behind the phenomena, educates on disaster prevention and alleviation, and helps improve the public’s knowledge about nature and capabilities in preventing disasters.
