6 hikers saved on Wutong Moutain
    2019-08-15  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

FOUR adults and two children who got lost on Wutong Mountain on Aug. 11 were later saved by Yantian police after a seven-hour search.

Except for one child, who had developed blisters, they were all in good condition.

The Yantian police received a notice at 8 p.m. saying a group of hikers had become lost on their way down the mountain. Due to the poor cellphone signal on the mountain, they could not find their location. After receiving the report, the Shatoujiao police station and Blue Sky Rescue team started searching for the group.

Police confirmed their location by talking with the hikers, and the rescue team made arrangements according to the situation and finally found the six hikers after seven hours.  (Chen Chujie)
