Land expropriation for Metro Line 13 a priority
    2019-08-28  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE experience of demolishing stuctures in Bao’an’s first-grade protected drinking water area has been urged to be applied to the land expropriation and demolition project being conducted in places along the Bao’an section of Metro Line 13 to ensure the work is finished on schedule.

The 23.5-KM Line 13 runs through Bao’an and Nanshan districts, connecting Shenzhen Bay Checkpoint, Houhai Center, Nanshan Science and Technology Park, the Liuxiandong area and Shiyan Subdistrict.

Shiyan Subdistrict will have four stations, namely Yingrenshi Station, Luozu Station, Baoshi Road Station and Shangwu North Station, and extend around 6.62 kilometers.

The expropriation and demolition project plans to expropriate 370,000 square meters of land, including 520 buildings with a total floor area of about 364,000 square meters. At present, a total of 34,200 square meters of land, including residential housing near Luozu Station, factories in the Jiangxia industrial park and private housing near Baoshi Station, have been expropriated.

Bao’an has completed 9.7 percent of the entire project so far. Eight major projects are under way.

Yao Ren, Party chief of Bao’an District, recently conducted research in Shiyan Subdistrict to learn more about the work. He encouraged staff to make full use of the lessons summarized in the demolition project at Bao’an’s protected water area to ensure the mission is finished on time.

Yao pointed out the shortage of law enforcement officers in Bao’an and required the relevant departments to figure out methods to ensure a sufficient amount of human resources.
