Metro station planned

THE planned Metro Line 24 will arrive directly at Peking University Shenzhen Hospital.

Following consultation between the hospital and the Municipal Bureau of Public Works on Dec. 19, 2018, it was decided that Metro Line 24 will have a direct connection with the hospital’s new outpatient and emergency building.

The new line has yet to be included in the fourth phase of the Metro construction plan. It is expected to be under construction after 2022.

2 die in Metro project

TWO people were killed and another two were slightly injured at the construction site at Mugu Station of Metro Line 10.

A machine operating on the rail hit workers who were assembling firefighting valves at the end of the station, according to a release by Shenzhen Metro on its microblog Tuesday.

The injured are in stable condition and the cause is under investigation.

Snake bite

A MAN was bitten by a snake at Guangmingcheng High-speed Railway Station recently.

While he was waiting for the train on the platform at 10 p.m. Saturday, Li felt a pain in his ankle and found he had been bitten by a snake that quickly snuck away. A security guard rushed to get help and doctors arrived at the scene to confirm that Li had only been slightly injured, rather than poisoned.

Tollgate dismantled

THE Kuichong Tollgate of Yanba Expressway was dismantled Wednesday, becoming the last tollgate along the expressway to be dismantled, following Dameisha, Xiaomeisha, Xichong and Tuyang tollgates.

The 29.1-km expressway became toll free in February 2016. With the recently built Baguang Tollgate becoming operational on July 4, the authorities began dismantling the five tollgates along the expressway July 11.
