走出深圳看世界 南山少年创新院 开辟“小院士”育人新路径 Fifty “little academicians” from the Nanshan Teenagers’ Innovation Institute took a seven-day science and technology study tour through Guangzhou just before the start of the new semester. The students first visited the Guangzhou Education Information Center to learn about the rules and requirements for participating in science and tech contests in China and to take a special class on laser-cutting technology. They also got a glimpse into meteorology, including satellite technology and the history of computers, at the Guangzhou Meteorological Satellite Ground Station. A two-day training on entrepreneurship was also held for the students at the Guangdong Science Center. Previous study tours organized by the institute have included visits to the production line of the China Aviation Industry General Aircraft manufacturing plant in Zhuhai, the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Radio Telescope, big data centers in Guizhou and the Huangpu Military Academy in Guangzhou. By April 2019, the institute has developed over 150 innovation projects. Products designed by some little academicians, such as smart backpacks, have been put into mass production and sold on the market. (Lin Lin) |
