THE organizer officially launched registration for the 2019 China Resources Shenzhen Nanshan Half Marathon on its official website www.szns-marathon.com, microblog and the WeChat account “Run Sai(润赛)” yesterday.

The event will take place at 8 a.m. Nov. 24. The organizer has offered 16,000 slots, including 12,500 for individual runners and 3,000 for 100 running clubs. Those runners who finished within 1 hours 25 minutes in men’s category and 1 hour 50 minutes in women’s category in the 2018 event are eligible for slots without having to participate in the lucky draw.

For running clubs to be eligible, they should have had at least 15 people participating in the event in 2018. Those clubs with the shortest running times will be prioritized for the slots. Each club should have at least five female runners. The organizer will offer 500 charity run slots to raise funds for Nanshan Charity Association and China Resources Charity Foundation.

The route will be T-shaped, with the main section traveling along Shennan Boulevard and Shahe West Road. The starting point of the course is at the East Gate of Shenzhen Talent Park and the finish is at Shenzhen Bay Sports Center.

Along the route, runners will pass Shenzhen Bay Headquarters Economic Area, High-tech Park, Dasha River Ecology Park, Window of the World, Nantou Ancient Town and other landmark buildings.
