Unqualified cake

A BATCH of matcha steamed cakes produced by a Jieyang company, KongWeng Food Development Co. Ltd., was found containing excessive propylene glycol in an investigation conducted by the Guangdong market supervision authority.

At present, the unqualified cakes have all been taken off shelves and destroyed.

Accident in community

AN old lady’s legs were run over by a garbage truck at a residential compound in Futian on Wednesday morning. The woman was with a boy when the incident happened. The boy was not hurt. The woman was sent to a hospital for treatment.
