Meaning:

Short for “日活用户,” this term is the translation of “daily active users” (DAU). Most DAU calculations consider a user to be any unique visitor who has downloaded an app or accessed a site and takes an action.

Example:

A: 你平时有空会刷抖音吗？

Nǐ píngshí yǒukòng huì shuā dǒuyīn ma？

Do you check out stuff on Douyin in your leisure time?

B: 没有，但周围很多人每天都刷这个应用。
