少儿国艺团展示中华传统文化祝福祖国 Young performers from a traditional Chinese art troupe founded by Shenzhen Children’s Library held a variety of shows to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China on October 6. To pay tribute to the motherland, the performers delivered a variety of performances ranging from dances, songs and classical Chinese music on instruments like erhu, pipa and guzheng, to Chinese martial arts. The troupe is a non-commercial art community for children and teenagers. It is dedicated to scouting and cultivating young artists from primary and middle schools in Shenzhen and to promoting classical Chinese music. Since its establishment in 2010, the troupe has developed four teams in classical Chinese music, dancing, poetry chanting and martial arts, and brought over 50 non-profitable performances to libraries, schools, communities and early intervention centers for special children. Additionally, it has participated in the cultural exchanges between Chinese and Australian teens. (Lin Lin) |
