DiDi offers free rides

RIDE-SHARE giant DiDi has launched in the Western Australian Capital of Perth yesterday, and the tech company is offering free rides to locals and tourists for the next four Saturdays.

Entering the Australian market back in May 2018, the on-demand auto service has already created a foothold in Geelong, Melbourne, Newcastle and Brisbane. With over 550 million app-users worldwide, the Beijing-based company operates an extensive range of transport options.

Overseas workforce

CHINA posted steady growth in the number of people working overseas in the first three quarters, official data showed.

From January to September, the country has sent 356,000 people to work overseas, an increase of 1,000 from the same period of last year, the Ministry of Commerce said in a report. By the end of September, a total of 1.01 million Chinese are working abroad, up by 14,000 from a year earlier, data showed.

USED car sales in China climbed 7.4 percent in September from a year earlier, according to a report from the China Automobile Dealers Association.

A total of 1.31 million used cars changed hands in September, the report said. In the January-September period, 10.59 million used cars were traded, up 4.3 percent year on year.
