Doing things right or doing right things
    2019-11-06  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Ma Yixuan, Shenzhen Hongling Middle School

From Shakespeare’s day to modern times, an issue has been hotly discussed: Which is more important for us, doing things right or doing right things? In my opinion, the answer should be doing right things.

I believe everyone here knows of Adolf Hitler, founder of the Third Reich of Germany and the cause of World War II. He devoted his talents to a wrong cause all his life and finally became the person condemned by history. He made his life a painful lesson for us, that is, only when doing right things do right methods make sense. If you are doing wrong things, the result will never be right whether you do it right or not.

Doing right things is the basis, yet it isn’t enough. If you are sure what you are doing is right, how to achieve it is also important. As a student and a part of our country, what we should think of is how to contribute to our country. To achieve this future goal, we should make full use of every minute and try our best to improve ourselves so that we can serve our people and country better. Then, with everyone’s joint effort, we’ll build a more prosperous and powerful China.
