A JOB fair for high-tech professionals will be held at Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Talent Innovation Park in Luohu District, Shenzhen, on Thursday, according to the city’s human resources and social security bureau yesterday. The job fair is free for both employers and jobseekers.

A sideline event of the 2019 China Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF), the talent fair will provide nearly 1,000 posts, most of which offer an annual salary of around 300,000 yuan (US$44,000). For some senior posts, the salaries are between 500,000 and 1 million yuan. Talents in 5G digital hardware, 5G antenna design, AI and AI algorithm are badly needed.

The organizer will invite 55 enterprises from the Greater Bay Area, including Gree, BYD, China Life, Foxconn and Han’s Laser, to attend the fair.

The industries covered include smart manufacturing, IT, electronic communications, new energy and materials, bio-medicine, finance and high-end services. Among the enterprises, 70 percent are State-level high-tech enterprises.

Also on Thursday, Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences will hold a job fair to attract talents engaged in the robotics industry.

For this year’s CHTF, over 50 delegations from 40 countries and international organizations, including 35 under the Belt and Road Initiative, will participate.

The international hall for CHTF at Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in Futian CBD will showcase advanced technologies and products of the countries, especially in the fields of electronic information, AI, smart city, energy saving, new materials, high-end manufacturing, and airspace and aviation.

During the fair, more than 10 countries, including Russia, Austria, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, South Korea and the U.S., will launch new products and organize business promotions, road shows, entrepreneurial contests and business matchmaking sessions.

The road shows will be held on the fifth floor of Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, where firms from Germany, the Czech Republic, Sweden and Norway will introduce their technologies.

This year is the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relationship between China and Hungary. Headed by the Hungarian technology minister, the Hungarian delegate will display their informational telecommunications, AI and biopharmacy products, and stage Hungary Day.

As the fair is expected to attract 80,000 visits per day, police have said they will use technologies like drones to monitor traffic on roads around the center.

Drivers who park on the roadside and cause traffic congestion will be fined 2,000 yuan and have their cars towed away. Residents can also call 8333-3333 for emergencies, inquiries or to report parking violations.

Shared-bike riders who fail to park their bikes in the designated areas will also be fined 20 yuan. If the riders are not caught at the scene, police will impound the bikes.
