Three major aspects were on display at the Shenzhen and Qianhai pavilion, namely Shenzhen City, the Qianhai free trade area, and sci-tech innovation. Relevant policies on constructing a pilot demonstration area of socialism with Chinese characteristics and the city’s implementation plan for the Greater Bay Area strategy were displayed in the Shenzhen area. Ding Zhongli, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, Wang Weizhong, Shenzhen Party chief, Chen Rugui, mayor of Shenzhen, and Du Peng, director of Qianhai Cooperation Zone Authority, visited the pavilion and had a cordial exchange with the entrepreneurial teams. The pavilion’s Qianhai section mainly demonstrates the innovation achievements based on its strategic positioning as the core engine of the pilot demonstration area, a major platform for Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao cooperation, a high-level opening-up hub and a new international urban center. Policies and measures enacted by Qianhai during the construction of an innovative, intelligent and digital city area are demonstrated in the sci-tech innovation area. Additionally, an interactive area in the pavilion was opened to visitors, allowing them to directly experience the achievements of Qianhai regarding economic development, Shenzhen-Hong Kong cooperation and institutional innovation through data visualization technology. Wang Yongxiang, deputy director of the Inno-Tech Industry Department of Qianhai Inno-Tech Investment Holdings Co. Ltd. and designer of the Shenzhen and Qianhai pavilion, said that technological innovation and digital economy have become the major driving forces for Qianhai. “Qianhai is striving to become more intelligent during its development, so as to make greater contributions to the construction of the pilot demonstration area,” said Wang. |
