清华深圳国际研究生院 多项科技成果亮相高交会 Fourteen scientific projects and a handful of inventions from Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School (Tsinghua SIGS) were exposited for the first time at the 21st China Hi-tech Fair (CHTF) concluded on Sunday. Visitors to the pavilion of Tsinghua SIGS at Hall 2 were dazzled by an array of new products, such as a portable optical system for video capture and reconstruction, a smart security system for vehicles, and a selection of smart non-motor vehicles. Projects on display showed the dazzling achievements Tsinghua SIGS has gained in the research and development of oceaneering, information technology, high-end equipment manufacturing, bio-medicine, new materials and more. Tsinghua SIGS is one of city’s 10 major bases for student innovation and entrepreneurship. Its i-Space project, an incubator for student startups, has already fostered a total of 50 projects so far. It is also offering subsidies to 35 student teams with Tsinghua SIGS. Two startup teams incubated by i-Space were exhibited at the CHTF. The school also displayed its endeavors in enhancing communications among scientists, academics, investors and entrepreneurs at the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Co-founded by Shenzhen Municipal Government and Tsinghua University, Tsinghua SIGS grows out of the Graduate School at Shenzhen, Tsinghua University and the Tsinghua-Berkeley Shenzhen Institute and is a publicly-funded institution specialized in the R&D sectors of seven industries, namely energy materials, information technology, medicine and health, oceaneering, future habitat, environment and ecology, and innovative management.
