xiǎonǎigǒu

Meaning:

Literally meaning “suckling puppies,” this term refers to young guys in a romantic relationship with a woman older than themselves. However, unlike “little wolf dogs,” it applies to the type of sweet, cute young men who sometimes act like a child and beg for attention from their lover. These young guys center their lives around the woman they love and may sometimes get jealous if they feel not loved backed enough.

Example:

A: 今天下班我们去打羽毛球，你去不去？

Jīntiān xiàbān wǒmen qù dǎ yǔmáoqiú，nǐ qùbuqù？

We are playing badminton after work today. Want to join us?
