Police in students’eyes
    2019-12-02  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

IN our life, police officers often appear to help us. Though we don’t know their names, we know thousands of them are selflessly devoted to their work.

They are the light, the most trustworthy people who shine on the ordinary posts and light up the way ahead for us.

Tang Zihao, Nanwan School, Longgang District

PART of police work is fighting against crime, but they are not limited to that. They are the protectors of our safety and their work covers every part of our life from driving safely, exit-and-entry, public safety, fighting against drugs and terrorism. You feel safe when you see police officers patrol on the street. They maintain order and respond quickly when an emergency happens.

Maylin Quinn, 15, Shenzhen Shekou International School

I AM a member of the Longgang Juvenile Police Camp. In three years, I have participated in more than 10 activities organized by the camp and have learned good qualities such as bravery, perseverance and restraint through the activities. In a simulation activity, we learned how to collect fingerprints from the doors and windows of a crime scene. I now still keep the finger prints of my own that is impressive.

Cai Mingyang, Grade 5, Jixiang Primary School, Longgang District

MY encounter with a Shenzhen police officer was to have a hukou transfer. The woman officer was very kind, patient and helped me with all the documents. They work on their ordinary posts and explain to every visitor patiently.

Zhang Jinya, Grade 1, Shenzhen No.2 Foreign Language School

IT is the eighth year I have participated in the Police Open Day. In the police museum, I see a lot of medals. The medals are the awards for their work protecting the city and people. We should cherish our life and show our respect to police, who devote their life for the interest of people. In our life, police officers can be seen everywhere: guiding traffic, in emergencies, anti-drugs and firefighting. I also want to be a police officer when I grow up to protect people and maintain social justice.

Yuan Junxiang, Grade 4, Huayi Experimental School
