Six college students stood out from 78 competitors and took home top prizes at the finals of the fourth Chinese Collegiate Fashion Modeling Competition held on December 29 at Dalang Fashion Town in Longhua District.

Contestants showed off their professional stage skills and positive attitude in the categories of swimwear and evening gown runway shows and comprehensive quality demonstration.

During the registration period for this edition of the event in the second half of last year, students from hundreds of colleges and universities signed up to participate. Eventually, 78 contestants from 61 colleges and universities entered the finals, including 40 male models and 38 female models.

According to the organizer, this edition was the first time that the competition was made open to male models since its launch.

The jury gave thumbs up to the overall strengths of the contestants and the organization of the competition, saying that the models were very professional and had a precise understanding of fashion and modeling.

The event was jointly hosted by the Shenzhen Fashion Designers Association, the organizing committee of the China (Shenzhen) International Fashion Festival, China Textile and Apparel Education Society, and Steering Committee for Textile Majors in Colleges and Universities Accredited by the Ministry of Education, and aims at discovering and cultivating model talents and rising stars as well as promoting China’s fashion industry.
