According to an annual survey on the enrollment rate of high school students in Pubei in 2019, nearly 90 percents of students are admitted to universities and colleges.

During our visit to Pubei, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, most families we met had economic difficulties with more than one child.

But most parents understand that supporting their children to go to school is the only way to change the family situation. Some of the children were in the best high school in the county and ranked among the best, but why are 10 percent of the students still not getting into university? Maybe their economic problems are limiting them.

We talked to a boy who left me with a deep impression. His father had just passed away, and his eyes revealed his sadness and inferiority. The loss of loved ones and academic pressure can destroy a child’s life. A student going to high school is not only an economic issue, because physical and mental health is just as important. We were sad for this boy’s situation.

Let’s go back to the idea that knowledge can change destiny. Everyone gets a degree, finds a better job or finds a better investment opportunity through insight into society.

Every successful person needs to be an expert in their field so that they can be better than others. So, we should thank our parents and those who make our life better today.

Therefore, we believe that most children from poor families will get the chance to go to a good college. Their parents will not let their children drop out of school no matter how tired and hard they are, as long as they have a way out. The children of these poor families also know that learning is the best way out, and they will try every means to learn, to fight for their future.

A father of a family we visited said, “No matter what our family is facing, I will not let her drop out of school.”

His daughter worked very hard and got into the best high school in the county. At a time the idea that “a poor family can never produce a noble son” was sweeping the Internet, but there were still a lot of poor students admitted to good universities, such as Pang Zhongyang, Wang Xinxin and so on.

They will not lament their fate and will not complain about God’s injustice. They will only make their efforts to prove that they and rich children are not different.
