A WHILE ago you mentioned in one of your articles that Shenzhen police were going to be stricter with traffic rule violators and that penalties were to be increased. One of the points that would be paid more attention to is road obstruction leading to traffic jams. I have been paying attention to this matter and do not really see any improvement. An example is Taizi Road in Shekou near Shekou International School. Everyday drivers waiting to pick up their children park indiscriminately on the road side. You can find similar situations on Wanghai Road near Rose Garden and Peninsula. A simple solution would be placing cameras at these spots. Shenzhen police may do this near all schools as I noticed that this happens throughout Shenzhen. Jeffry Kuperus via email |
