Over the moon 欣喜若狂
    2020-01-13  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A: Here are two tickets for the music concert tonight. Many renowned composers will perform in this concert. I know you and your wife love classic music.

B: What a surprise! I’m sure my wife will be over the moon.

Note: If you are “over the moon” about something that has happened, you are extremely happy about it. This term first appeared in a line in “High Diddle Diddle,” a nursery rhyme from the 16th century: “High diddle diddle, the Cat and the Fiddle, the Cow jump’d over the Moon.” It has been popular since the middle of the 20th century.
