Cantonese opera popular on SZ campuses
    2020-01-15  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Shenzhen Cantonese Opera Troupe brought traditional opera to Shenzhen campuses, performing classical plays at four schools in Shenzhen last month.

With helpful explanations added throughout the shows, actors and actresses in the troupe including Chen Shicai, Tan Lanyan, Lin Haitao, Wu Siming, Su Xiaohui and Wen Hui turned these lively traditional opera performances into enthralling lessons for the students.

The program, organized by the Shenzhen Municipal Publicity Department, Municipal Education Bureau, and Municipal Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau, aimed to promote traditional opera on campuses and attract more students to become involved in traditional opera.
