Primary and middle school students in Yantian District kick-started their winter vacation by participating in a seven-day military camp inaugurated on January 18 in Pingshan District.

A total of 113 students from Yantian District Experimental School, Yantian Foreign Languages School, Tiandong Middle School, Linyuan Primary School and more learned military theory and skills at seven training sessions. Their physical fitness, team spirit and housekeeping skills were also honed at the camp.

“Living and understanding the life of servicemen not only promotes patriotism among students but also urges them to be more robust, perseverant, self-disciplined and solitary in their studies and life,” Chang Wei, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Yantian District Committee, said of the program.
