FUTIAN Checkpoint Station and Liangmaoshan Station on Metro Line 10 passed the contact net-powered test Tuesday morning. So far, all stations on the line have passed the tests and the line will be operational at the middle of this year, the Shenzhen Evening News reported. The section between Futian Checkpoint Station and Liangmaoshan Station runs 21.38 kilometers with 18 stations. The successful test of the section marks a step closer to the opening of the line. After the test, the line can undergo joint tests for communication, signal and monitoring systems on the whole line, laying a solid foundation for the open-circuit test and a trial operation. At present, ancillary tasks, installation of equipment and decoration of stations have entered the final stage. Metro Line 10 starts at Futian Checkpoint Station and ends at Shuangyongjie Station in Longgang District, with 24 stations, including 10 interchange stations. Upon operation, the 29.34-kilometer line will not only end the history of having no Metro service in the areas of Pinghu, Banxuegang, Huawei New Town and eastern Meilin Checkpoint, but also help lessen traffic congestion in the Meilin Checkpoint area and share traffic with Line 4. Construction on the line started Dec. 31, 2014. (Zhang Yu) |
